Prime Video released today the first official teaser trailer for its most anticipated new series of 2022, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Tolkien fans, pop culture fans, and football fans alike paused to take in the visual splendor of the 60-second teaser that debuted live during the third quarter of the Super Bowl LVI broadcast; followed by a worldwide online release of the teaser trailer shortly thereafter.
The teaser offers global audiences their first-ever audio-visual glimpses of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fabled Second Age, promising a brand-new legend from Amazon Studios and showrunners J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay set to begin on September 2 of this year. Featuring a selection of the series’ ensemble cast of characters and Arda-spanning settings, the teaser trailer takes viewers on an action-packed journey filled with wonder and excitement in true cinematic splendor.
